Welcome to Mondrón...Views of the area

The town of Periana has many charming hamlets scattered around the countryside within its municipality. Mondron is one of these, a small community whose source of income is the cultivation of the crops typical of this area of the Axarquia. Among these hamlets and about two and a half kilometres from Periana the Baños de Vilo y Guaro are located at 610 metres above sea level. This is a small spa, the waters of which are foul smelling but said to be an excellent curative for certain ailments. Mondron has a church, narrow shady streets and nice green out-of town areas ideal for an early morning or evening walk.
