Salobrena (the jewel of Costa Tropical), is located
in the beautiful and warm south of Spain, in the Andalucian province of
Granada. Apart from the Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada mountains,
the province of Granada is famous because here you almost always receive
free tapas with any drink. This is a great way to sample the delicious
local food. Salobrena is part of the still relatively virgin Costa Tropical.
There is an interesting historic quarter with whitewashed townhouses set
around Salobrena’s Arab castle. Both Salobrena and the Costa Tropical haven't been spoiled by overdevelopment and mass tourism. The Spanish character has been preserved here. Salobrena doesn't have the international reputation of some of its coastal neighbours on the Costa del Sol, such as Marbella, Puerto Banus or even Nerja, but it's an ideal holiday destination for those seeking, good beaches, sun, plenty of leisure activities and a taste of the real Spain. |
